MATERIAL ORIENTATION

Material orientation is a mindset that focused on material wealth or anything that is perceived physically. Why is that? Imagine or do the imagination of a physical object is relatively easy because it is more clear, concrete, certain, and (look) real. There is a convenience aspect that is empirical. With a “physical” view I know and trust. Seeing is an empirical activity, which is active and moves to use or "activate" the senses of sight (eyes). I think that everything must look real, tangible, and can be perceived by using the five senses which I have.

Objects in the physical appearance of practical value can be used as standard terminology of ownership for the rich-poor, much-less and heavy-light. Much and little at the level of materialism is the perception of quantity (quantity). Therefore, understanding the level of rich and poor in material wealth is that they have "items that are expensive" in quantity it is said to be rich, and vice versa because of the poor is said to have "items that are expensive" in small amounts.

Material is more easily seen in both near and far distances. In close proximity of a physical object can be viewed by using the senses of vision (eyes). In the physical distance of an object also allows for viewing by using a specific mechanistic tools. Often found to be the conception that the material is "looking at the surface." Material is easily found, are found in the "before" the people who go and see him. This reality is described as "surface reality".

Material is always desirable, necessary and contested by many people because of its easiness aspect. Ease in its sense of "essential", and not one in the sense of "how to get it". It is in the most common sense that being able to get it takes effort, effort that could be perceived as "not always easy." The essence of "convenience" in the level of material is easily visible, clearly conceived as a physical, tangible, concrete, and "easy business." Through this understanding we can say that materialism and convenience has always been the orientation for the (most) people. The problem now is when many people want the same object, namely material wealth and convenience, it can be imagined when materialism and convenience have popularity in "economic value". No wonder if then they become "commodities". Materialism and convenience that "are able to be commodified", become commodities, sold and used commercially. @ ign_heri_sw/2010
