It is true that the colors are genuine and honest. They are also with different size, each of them is able to offer attraction in its own special way. Beautiful! That's the common expression. Sometimes we just give up to say that it is about Him. Well ..... I had a great visit to Orchid Garden - Kuala Lumpur recently. Thanks for it. Part of the journey I guess. But, that is not all. Of course, they have name but who cares for it? I have no idea why I surrender to colorful orchid. Why are they so rich? I keep wondering and asking myself. Am I too arrogant to value all of this stuff? I think the orchid is just doing "what it is". Biological, natural, scientific mechanism, or whatever are many. But you can't throw your eyes to other things. Keep looking and thinking, and at the same time, you can't answer your question. Thanksgiving for it. This is the great day actually!

Way back to the history of Israel – the story of salvation in  Old Testament, it is meant to be liberation. It is when the Israelites were struggling to fight slavery from Egyptians. However, that is not sufficient enough to explain the meaning of salvation. It should be rooted on the history of Israelites before the oppression from Egyptians ie. the story of Abraham. The elements of salvation should be grounded on the active response of Abraham to Yahweh. He responses God’s call through total detachment when he should leave his country, family, and all his belongings for the promised land – Canaan. Salvation in that context is to response God’s invitation through experiencing total obedience. The journey from Ur to Canaan is not easy for Abraham. PEMAKNAAN KEMISKINAN Ignasius Heri Satrya Wangsa Kepentingan diri sendiri Adalah wajar apabila diri sendiri ingin selalu didahulukan dan disenangkan dalam rentang tanpa batas. Selalu pada setiap kesempatan, pertimbangan utama adalah kepentingan diri sendiri. Perlahan namun pasti, tanpa disadari orientasi kepentingan diri sendiri menjadi “kronis dan akut”, membelenggu, membentuk sebuah wilayah kenyamanan (comfort zone) . Diri menjadi semakin peka dan rentan terhadap setiap permasalahan yang mengancam “gangguan” terhadap wilayah kenyamanan. Porsi kepentingan diri (selfishness) dapat diketahui melalui seberapa besar “luas” wilayah kenyamanan. Semakin luas wilayah kenyamanan yang dimiliki menandakan tingkat kemelekatan (attachment) yang semakin tinggi. Ini kemudian membawa pada rasa “memiliki kemampuan luar biasa” serta penuh rasa percaya diri untuk dapat mengatasi segala permasalahan.
